The FDA continues to expand the scope of its Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA). In October 2016, new questions were added to the annual inspection under the FDA’s expanded program called EQUIP (Enhancing Quality Using the Inspection Program).
One of those increased requirements asks each mammography facility to demonstrate that it has a corrective action plan that addresses occurrences of poor image quality. We help our clients when equipment problems arise preventing compliance to these comprehensive standards.
