Course Description

Students completing Toshiba Prime, Premium, and One Series course will be able to maintain system operational readiness to OEM specifications. This will include the ability to perform operations of the system, preventive maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting abilities enabling isolation of faults to field replaceable units. Upon identification of faulty units, students will have the capability to replace, run system calibration and diagnostics following replacement, and return the system to the end user fully operational.

Course Introduction

Toshiba Prime, Premium, and One Series CT – Advanced Training Course

This one-week course is designed for field service technicians seeking to deepen their expertise in the operation, service, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Toshiba Prime, Premium, and One Series CT systems. Delivered by Tri-Imaging Solutions (TIS), this technical training provides the necessary knowledge and hands-on skills to ensure technicians can effectively maintain and repair Toshiba CT systems to OEM standards.

Prerequisites

  • Two-year electronics degree or equivalent experience
  • Preferred one-year field experience in the area of computed tomography

Course Expectations

 

Upon successful completion of the Toshiba Prime, Premium, and One Series course, students will have the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain system operational readiness according to OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications. Specifically, they will be able to:

  1. Operate the System: Perform standard system operations and ensure its functionality in day-to-day use.
  2. Preventive Maintenance: Carry out routine preventive maintenance tasks to ensure long-term system reliability and performance.
  3. Advanced Troubleshooting: Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to diagnose and isolate faults at the component level, specifically identifying issues within field-replaceable units (FRUs).
  4. Fault Isolation and Component Replacement: Once faults are identified, students will be capable of replacing faulty components (FRUs) efficiently and safely.
  5. System Calibration and Diagnostics: After replacing components, students will run necessary system calibration and diagnostics to ensure the system is fully operational.
  6. Return to Service: Ensure that the system is returned to the end user in optimal working condition, meeting the OEM specifications.

This course ensures that technicians are well-equipped to maintain the Toshiba systems at the highest operational standards, minimizing downtime and maximizing system performance.

Objectives

Upon completion of this course students will be able to:

  • Observe all safety procedures while operating and servicing the CT system
  • Operate the scanner to run patient protocols, verify functionality, and run diagnostics
  • Perform image quality procedures and evaluate
  • Perform preventative maintenance procedures
  • Utilizes manufacturer’s service publications and documentation
  • Troubleshoot system field replaceable units (FRU’s) using all available tools
  • Perform system calibrations
  • Replace system assemblies
